Lowri Beck Services is looking for individuals to join a growing team of meter readers working on behalf of the UK’s leading energy suppliers obtaining accurate readings at customers’ properties.

This role will give you excellent progression opportunities, with the potential to move into a more senior or managerial role in the future.

We need gas & electric meter readers who are located within the following postcode locations:

  • 37.5 hours standard working week on a Monday – Friday & Tuesday – Saturday rota basis, ideally working 7.5 hours per day (although there is some flexibility on this), including 2 late shifts per week working until 6:00pm (8:00pm between April – September). Overtime is also available.

About the role…

  • Working within your home postcode location, you will be required to obtain accurate meter readings and inspect gas & electric meters at customers’ properties
  • You will enter the meter details on a handheld device at each location, and provide excellent customer service to positively represent the Lowri Beck image & company values

What we are looking for…

  • Previous meter reading experience (or experience within the utility metering industry) would be desirable, but this is not essential as full training is given. However, as a minimum we do require:
    • A full and valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
    • Use of a vehicle with business insurance & current MOT (if applicable)
    • Access to the internet at home and good IT skills – work is delivered by a handheld device and timesheets are completed online
    • Excellent customer service skills with a flexible approach to tasks & working hours
    • Competency in numeracy and literacy
    • The ability to work to timescales and work under pressure
    • Live within the advertised postcode area
    • Have a good level of physical fitness due to the location of some meters
